ANICAV is the largest association representing tomato processing companies in the world by number of member companies and quantity of processed product. It associates 3/4 of the processing industries operating in Italy that process about 70% of all processed tomatoes in Italy and almost all of the whole peeled tomatoes produced in the world, with a turnover, in 2022, of 3 billion euros (equal to 75% of the total turnover of the Italian tomato processing industry). About 60 percent of production is for export.
